Heading Towards an All-Out Revolution in Hookah Studies

Anger is rising as more and more observers are sick of the way “scientific” studies on hookah smoking have been carried on over the past few years.

Finally, Anna Edwards, she regrets in a Letter dated 4/11/07 to the Daily Free Press (Boston University): "Gross Exaggeration of Hookah Dangers":

"I wanted to write in appreciation of the article on hookah smoking ("Hooked on Hookah," April 10, p.7). I've been a fan of the narghile for about three years now, and I have always been aware of its health risks. It's important to teach people about both the good and bad of the hookah culture. The only thing that really frustrated me about the article was a quote from Kristen Woulfe, who said smoking one hookah is like "smoking 100 cigarettes in one sitting." What? Is she crazy? Obviously, that is a gross exaggeration, which is disappointing -- a spokeswoman for the American Lung Association should have her facts straight."


Come on, folks, follow these brave examples. Write to columnists, to the United Nations, tell your wife, your neighbors, everybody… Anger is rising.
