Hookah Smoking More Pocket Money-Friendly than Cigarettes, According to International Experts

Very serious smoking machines based studies showed that:

1 hookah session equals 200 cigarettes (10 packs)

There is a debate over the above figure so some experts now state:
1 hookah session equals 100 cigarettes (5 packs)

But these days it would be more trendy among researchers to say:
1 hookah session equals 40 cigarettes (2 packs)

Though a recent US video news announced
1 hookah = 20 cigarettes (1 pack)

CONCLUSION: international experts bring you the scientific evidence that if you smoke the hookah instead of cigarettes, once a week for instance, then you spare, according to the different experts and their equivalences (10 to 1 packs of cigarettes...), a lot of money.

One pack of hookah product costs about $8 allowing you to prepare 4 sessions. Therefore, the cost for one session is more or less: $2.

A good pack of Marlboro costs about $5.

Cost for smoking one hookah a week: $2, that would cost you, according to experts'calculation:

-in the case of 1 hookah session => 10 packs of cigarettes: 10 x 5 = $ 50.

YOU SPARE $48 A WEEK !

-Now, if you smoke 2 hookahs a week, the cost is : $2 x 2 = $4 that would cost you: 2x10 x 5 = $100.

AND YOU SPARE $98 A WEEK !

No doubt, the hookah is lower cost and best value for money than cigarettes !

Ha, before we leave, some of them are declaring that “Despite its long history and widespread use, only recently have methods begun to be developed for studying waterpipe smoke chemistry.”

Do you think this statement is true ? Unfortunately, it is not. There are many other and earlier studies on smoke chemistry. For instance:

Hoffman d., Rathkamp G, Wynder EL. Comparison of the yields of several selected components in the smoke from different tobacco products. Journal of the National Cancer Institute 1963; 31:627-635 or

Rakower J, Fatal B. Study of Narghile Smoking in Relation to Cancer of the Lung. Br J Cancer 1962 (Mar); 16:1-6.

Being as narrow minded as them, and relying on the findings of the study by Hoffmann, the following equivalence could be drawn:

1 hookah equals 51.4 mg/77.4mg = 0.66 cigarette !

(nicotine for 1g of particulate material for mainstream smoke.

But, in this case, it wouldn't be anymore money value to go on puffing at the hookah, would it !

So, it's better to keep on believing in the “new studies”...

Hint: what'all this mess about ? Setting the right parameters for their smoking machines ? Humm..
